Jofel YAN

Southern California Float Tube • Saltwater / Freshwater

Hello everyone, my name is Jofel.
Originally from Luzon Island in the Philippines and raised in Southern California, I bring over 50 years of fishing experience shaped by passion, tradition, and a deep respect for the outdoors. Since catching my first bluegill at five years old, fishing has been a central part of my life and has led me to explore a wide variety of fisheries.

Over the years, my journey has taken me through diverse environments. From city ponds and mountain lakes to Northern California rivers, saltwater piers and jetties, and nearshore islands, I have always pursued new challenges. I have surf fished local beaches, joined multi day offshore trips in Baja targeting giant bluefin tuna, and traveled to Mexico in search of trophy largemouth bass. Each experience has helped shape my approach and expand my understanding of fish and conditions.

For more than twenty years, float tubing has been central to my fishing.
It allows me to stay actively engaged on the water while balancing career and family life. I value its simplicity, accessibility, and the unique connection it creates between angler and environment. These principles strongly reflect my vision of modern fishing.

As an angler, I am driven as much by the process as by the result. I enjoy reading water conditions, identifying patterns, adapting techniques, and embracing the constant learning that every outing brings. I also take pride in representing the sport with integrity, sharing knowledge, and inspiring others to appreciate both the challenge and the reward of fishing.

It is a true honor to represent the SEVEN BASS Design Team. I look forward to contributing as a dedicated ambassador of the brand and sharing my passion with the fishing community.

See you soon on the water.
